2014 Oscar Nominations: No Saving Mr. Hanks

The Oscar nominations were announced this morning. Personally, I wasn't too surprised by the names announced. The one real snub was Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips. The scene where he's in shock and unable to process words might be some of the best acting this season, though I still think the honor should go to Matthew McConaughey's stunning work in Dallas Buyer's Club. Below are this year's main nominees. I didn't include Best Director because I think Alfonso Cuaron has this one in the bag for Gravity.
